Pain Management 4-Week Series

Pain is complex and costly on many levels. While we first experience it as physical sensation, the longer we live with pain, the more it can affect our mind, body and spirit. Chronic or persistent pain can take control over time, limiting our activities and the choices we make about how we want to live. Advances in Western medicine have increased our understanding of pain and the nervous system, and adding the perspective of yoga therapy offers an integrated approach to using movement and mindfulness practices to manage and decrease pain. Join Joanne, a certified yoga therapist, in this 4-week series to learn meditation practices, breathing techniques and gentle movements to help you to manage and gain freedom from your pain.
