Therapeutic Movement for Your SI Joints & Low Back***FULL***

Many of us experience low back pain around the SI (sacroiliac) joint – the bony connection between the bottom of the spine (sacrum) and the pelvic bones (ilia) which transfers load and dynamic forces between the upper & lower body. While it can often feel stuck, unstable or irritated, this amazingly strong, form-closed joint is surrounded by a high density of muscles, ligaments, connective tissue, blood vessels & nerves which can all impact our experience of this complex area. In this workshop, we’ll explore simple exercises to feel the connections between your upper and lower body and learn how novel, varied movement and adding load can help to ease SI joint discomfort. We will also discuss pain science and consider how our experience of low back pain doesn’t always indicate where the problem is.
