Moving Through Stress & Anxiety 4-Week Series

With our ongoing experience of collective uncertainty, finding ways to manage stress & anxiety is of utmost importance for our mental health. Moving and tuning into our body is one of the most helpful ways to foster awareness of the ‘here & now’ while redirecting our attention away from negative thought patterns and narrative loops which can hijack our mind and elicit uncomfortable physical symptoms. This 4-week series will help you move through stress & anxiety with soothing somatic practices to feel the body, task-based movement to introduce play with intentional activation, restorative poses to rest & unwind and iRest Yoga Nidra to foster an inner resource of safety & well-being. Learn practical skills to down-regulate the nervous system, promote emotional balance and nourish peace of mind while connecting in community. Please note that you may turn off both your video & audio during our Zoom sessions, and each class will be recorded so that participants may download for future reference. Handouts with lecture and movement content will also be provided by email.
